Bacardi Legacy 2016 Competition Names Six American Finalists

01/26/2016

by: The Staff

Bacardi challenges bartenders across the globe each year to create new cocktails capable of leaving their own legacy. The 2015 winner, France’s Frank Dedieu, wowed judges with his Le Latin cocktail, taking the coveted championship last April in the Sydney, Australia.

The finals in 2016 will take place San Francisco. But first, each country must crown their own representative for this global competition. America has whittled its bartenders down to a final six, who will battle it out in The City By the Bay before the rest of the world descends upon San Francisco.

The six U.S. finalists are:

East Region: Chris Rolon (Miami) and Gn Chan (New York)

Central Region: Nick Detrich (New Orleans) and Alex Schmaling (Chicago)

West Region: Jor Frade (Portland) and Vincent Toscano (San Francisco)
