Golden Globes Cocktail: Moët Ruby Red

01/06/2016

by: Kyle Swartz

What the stars will be drinking this Sunday at the Golden Globes award ceremony?

The menu was recently released, including Los Angeles mixologist Karen Grill’s Moët Ruby Red cocktail, a take on the classic French 75 cocktail. The drink will be served in the Golden Globes lounge (an antechamber to the ballroom) on the big night.

The sparkling red cocktail recipe would work for a number of special occasions—including the upcoming Valentine’s Day—so you may want to test it with your guests.

Ruby Red Recipe:

1 oz. Vodka
¾ oz. Lemon juice
¾ oz. Tarragon, raspberry, citrus shrub*
2 ½ oz. Moët & Chandon brut

Serve over ice in a white wine glass. Garnish with fresh tarragon and citrus.

*For the shrub:

2 cups Raspberry purée
2 cups Apple cider vinegar
4 cups Cane sugar
1 Lemon peel
4 sprigs Tarragon

Bring ingredients to a simmer on a stovetop, then remove from heat and let cool.
