BD: Tell me about your cocktail, The Dirty Amber
2C: The guys at the distillery gave me some ideas. They researched flavors I liked in the past, stuff they felt I was into. And they came up with a flavor that we were very excited about.
The whole night before we created the cocktail, I was nervous, and trying to come out with cocktails of my own. But it just didn’t work out for me. The next day, I worked more with the guys at the distillery and we made the Dirty Amber.
There’s an amber taste to it, and lime juice. Because I’m from the Dirty South, I had to put my own spin to it in the name.
BD: What tastes do you like in drinks?
2C: Something distinct. Something you can taste without someone having to tell you what’s in it.
BD: How was making the video? It’s pretty funny.
2C: They were just following me with cameras. I wasn’t trying to be funny. It was all-natural, no script. I brought a couple of my guys to Germany. Ee were having fun and drinking, and the video crew did a great job of capturing that. It’s really just a day in the life of 2 Chainz.
BD: A lot of entertainers have released alcohol lines in recent years. Would that interest you?
2C: After touring the distillery, really doing my research, and seeing how much goes into something like Jägermeister, I’d definitely say that that is something I’d be open to in the future. I’m still just thinking about it, though.
