This single barrel, Kentucky Straight Bourbon Whiskey commemorates the Battle of Bower Hill, which was the first and only known bloodshed of the Whiskey Rebellion in 1794, in which 600 militiamen attacked and ultimately burned down the tax collector’s fortified home.
Each Bower Hill Bourbon barrel is distilled and aged in Louisville, KY and yields roughly 300 bottles, which are labeled with batch, barrel and bottle numbers. At 94 proof, the bourbon gives oak, tannin, and lush/spicy tastes, according to the company, with a long, smooth finish.
Currently available in 20 states and growing, Bower Hill Bourbon has a suggested retail price of $69.99 for a 750mL bottle.
