Woodford Reserve Lets Consumers Vote on Charity to Support

03/16/2015

by: The Staff

In honor of the 10th anniversary of Woodford Reserve being the Official Bourbon of the Kentucky Derby, the company launched an online voting initiative, to determine which of two charities will receive the net proceeds of this year’s $1,000 Mint Julep Cup sales.

Through midnight on Monday, March 30, consumers ages 21-and-older can cast their vote as many times as they’d like for either the Wounded Warrior Equestrian Program or the Permanently Disabled Jockeys’ Fund by visiting at woodfordreservemintjulep.com/charityvote.

Whichever charity get the most votes will receive the net proceeds. The winning charity will be announced at the 2015 Woodford Reserve $1,000 Mint Julep Cup press conference on April 13th at Churchill Downs.

A nominal donation will be awarded to the remaining organization.

To date, Woodford Reserve has raised over $410,000 for equine and humanitarian causes from the $1,000 Mint Julep Cups sales.
