The Academy Awards statuettes were handed out Feb. 22. The glitz and glamor may have faded, but our Oscar-themed cocktail recipes are still golden.

Golden Nail

1 oz. Drambuie Scotch liqueur
1 oz. Dewar’s White Label Scotch whisky
½ oz. St. Germain elderflower liqueur
½ oz. Fresh lemon juice

In a mixing tin half-filled with ice, add ingredients and shake until the tin is frosted. Strain into a Martini glass, and garnish with a lemon twist.

Drumming Up Spice
Inspired by Whiplash

2 oz. Ancho Reyes
2 oz. Montelobos mezcal
Garnish with a grapefruit peel

Shake Ancho Reyes and mezcal with ice. Strain into a coupe glass. Garnish with a grapefruit peel.

The Selma 65
Inspired by Selma

¾ ounces Bombay Sapphire gin
½ ounce freshly squeezed lemon juice
½ shot of sugar syrup
Top with Martini Persecco

Shake the first three ingredients with ice and strain into champagne glass, then top with champagne and lightly stir. Garnish with a lemon twist.

 A Brief History of Thyme

1½ oz. Caliche rum
½ oz. Lemon juice
¾ oz. Pomegranate juice
3 Sprigs of fresh thyme
½ oz. or Combier orange liqueur (or any other fine triple sec)
Dash of agave nectar (optional if you don’t like dry cocktails )

Combine all ingredients over ice in a cocktail shaker, and shake vigorously until well chilled, serve in a chilled cocktail coupe, garnish with a thyme sprig.

2 parts Disaronno
1 part Fresh lemon juice
¼ part Simple syrup

Shake ingredients and strain over ice in a glass.

Inspired by Still Alice

1 part Dewar’s White Label blended Scotch whisky
3 parts ginger beer or ale
Orange wedge

Fill pint glass with ice and add the whisky. Top with ginger and garnish with an orange wedge.

The Jazzy Hour
Inspired by Whiplash

½ part Disaronno
1 part Vodka
½ part Tangerine liqueur
1 part Pineapple juice
Splash lemon juice

Shake with ice and strain into a martini cocktail glass. Garnish with an orange slice.

The Man Behind the Mask
Inspired by the film, Birdman

1 large chunk of ice
1 part Dewar’s Scotch whisky
1 part Martini Gran Lusso
Orange peel or twist to garnish

Build drink in a cocktail glass with ice. Garnish and serve.

I’d Like to Thank

1 oz. Ketel One Vodka Citroen
½ oz. Lillet Blanc
¼ oz. Fresh lemon juice
½ oz. Fresh grapefruit juice
½ oz. Simple syrup
Sparkling wine

Combine all ingredients except wine. Shake and strain into a Champagne flute. Top with sparkling wine. Garnish with a lemon disk, expressed then discarded.
