Any bar or restaurant can put together a list of a few drink specials and call it a Happy Hour, but that kind of half-hazard strategy most likely won’t generate a significant amount of business. There’s an art to cultivating a successful Happy Hour program, and a considerable amount of work that needs to take place before launching such a promotion.
2 oz. Skyy Infusions Pineapple vodka
1 ½ oz. Orange sherbet, softened
1 oz. Pineapple juice
1 oz. Milk
1 oz. Simple syrup
Combine vodka and pineapple juice in cocktail shaker with ice. Strain over fresh ice into a clear Collins glass. Combine softened orange sherbet and ice in a cocktail shaker and shake vigorously. Strain, and pour over bar spoon to layer in the rocks glass. Then combine simple syrup and milk in cocktail shaker and shake vigorously. Layer milk mixture on top of sorbet mixture.
St. Elder Fashioned
2 parts Bourbon or rye whiskey
½ part St. Elder elderflower liqueur
2 dashes Bitters
Stir ingredients vigorously together in an ice filled old fashioned glass. Add orange twist and traditional cherry garnish.

Jägermeister is introducing Jägermeister Spice-its first-ever product extension in the U.S. The new expression mixes the venerable German herbal liqueur with vanilla and cinnamon spices, and has an ABV of 25%. Jägermeister Spice, imported by Sydney Frank Importing, will be available in limited quantities as of October for a suggested retail price of $22.99 for a 750-ml. bottle.

Smirnoff has added two new flavors to its vodka portfolio: Wild Honey and Cinna-Sugar Twist. Smirnoff Wild Honey flavored vodka blends the pure sweet taste of golden honey with a wild side of floral fruitiness, the company says, while Smirnoff Cinna-Sugar Twist flavored vodka combines an indulgent, sweet and smooth cinnamon taste. The suggested retail price for the new vodka flavors is $15.99 per 750-ml. bottle.
