· Scene: Bellocq Blows Into New Orleans
A bar conjures up another era. Bellocq in New Orleans, the walls are blood red and metal curtains hide alcoves where couples can hide. Low tables and vintage rugs fill the dark, old-fashioned lounge. Once a month there are performances by world music acts, which are booked by Lou Reed’s former manager. For many guests, however, the most striking feature of Bellocq is the menu.
Cheers Drink Recipes
2 oz. Pisco Porton
¾ oz. The Perfect Puree Thyme & Citrus
1 bar spoon Granulated sugar
1 Egg white
Splash of Lime juice
Bitters
Combine ingredients, except bitters, into a bowl and whip. Pour into mixing glass. Add ice, shake and strain into a glass. Add a dash of bitters.

1 ¼ oz. Ginger vodka
¼ oz. Pomegranate liqueur
1 ½ oz. The Perfect Puree Chipotle Sour
Combine all ingredients into a shaker with ice. Shake vigorously and pour into a serving glass.

· Kentucky Strawberry Margarita
4 oz. MXR Sweet & Sour mix
¾ oz. MXR Strawberry Daiquiri mix
1 oz. Tequila
½ oz. Bourbon
Serve over a cup of ice. Garnish with lime and strawberry.
