SONOMA, CA- For the sixth year running Cline Cellars, in collaboration with Breast Cancer Network of Strength, is contributing to breast cancer support. Cline’s release of its 2008 Cashmere, a soft and silky blend of Mourvèdre, Grenache and Syrah has been chosen to represent the company’s plight towards breast cancer support by donating $25,000 to Breast Cancer Network of Strength’s (BCNS) Ride to Empower. Ride to Empower® is a destination cycling event in Red Rock Canyon, Nevada, October 22 – 25. Riders raise funds to provide breast cancer support.

Cline made a conscious effort to research many charities, choosing the BCNS because of their stellar financial accountability. BCNS holds the prestigious four star rating for being “one of the most fiscally sound nonprofits in America” by Charity Navigator, the largest charity evaluator in the nation. For the third year in a row, Breast Cancer Network of Strength has received Charity Navigator’s highest 4-star rating, a testament to Network of Strength’s effectiveness as a non-profit organization. This exceptional rating is proof of Network of Strength’s accountability and transparency and shows they exceed industry standards and outperform most charities in their area.

“As a woman, a mother and a business owner, I feel it is a priority to help make a difference,” said Nancy Cline, co-owner of Cline Cellars. “We wanted to align ourselves with an organization that has made a vital contribution to those affected by breast cancer and one that directs a high percentage of funds to ensure, through information, empowerment and peer support, that no one faces breast cancer alone. The organization provides immediate emotional relief for anyone touched by breast cancer.”

Margaret Kirk, President and CEO of Breast Cancer Network of Strength is very excited by the continuing partnership. “The creativity and generosity of Cline Cellars and its employees really help make the Ride to Empower successful,” said Margaret C. Kirk, Network of Strength President and CEO. “Since our services are provided completely free of charge, Ride to Empower National Sponsor Cline Cellars helps us touch lives in the future.”
