INTRODUCING CONJURE™, HANDCRAFTED EXCELLENCE FROM LUDACRIS AND FRENCH LUXURY HOUSE BIRKEDAL HARTMANN
New York, New York — This fall, the centuries-old world of cognac making will be thrust into the future with the introduction of Conjure ™, a unique blend of contemporary American culture and timeless French tradition.
This innovative new cognac is a collaboration of two celebrated connoisseurs, Grammy-winning artist Chris “Ludacris” Bridges and the esteemed 122 year-old cognac house Birkedal Hartmann, under the direction of master blender Philippe B. Tiffon.
After exploring the Cognac region, absorbing himself in every aspect of cognac production and honing his taste for fine ingredients, Bridges personally selected the notes for Conjure. The music legend did not simply lend his name to the brand, however; he has been actively involved in every step of its design and development, a first for a spirits brand.
Conjure is made from the ugni blanc grape from blends that represent a variety of Cognac regions including Grande Champagne, Petite Champagne and Borderie. The rich copper color of this signature cognac accents a bouquet of cedar, cocoa and hazelnut. Hints of vanilla, apricot and dried prune leave a smooth warm feeling and long lasting oak finish on the palate. The robust blend of 30 to 40 eaux-de-vie is aged in Limousin oak barrels that are up to 50 years old found only in a boutique house such as Birkedal Hartmann. Using these highly seasoned barrels provides an unparalleled complexity of smoothness, definition and flavor. The result is a hand-crafted cognac of the highest quality, unrivaled by its competitors.
Conjure will be available in a 750 ml size for an average retail price of $32.99. It will be sold in select bars, restaurants and online outlets beginning in September 2009. For more information, visit www.conjurecognac.com.
