Why reinvent the wheel? That’s the premise behind DrinkIQ.com, an online alcohol responsibility community launched in September by Diageo. The site is making a play to be a global clearinghouse where educators, law enforcement personnel, parents, retailers and on-premise operators share and repurpose alcohol responsibility ideas and programs.
The cornerstone of the site is its resource center, where links to alcohol responsibility videos and programs can be viewed and submitted both for inspiration and reuse. The site also features the consumer-oriented Facts About Alcohol section and an expansive list of links to organizations and government agencies that can assist with responsible consumption initiatives, as well as case studies from Diageo’s responsible drinking programs worldwide and an overview of its responsible service history.
“What sets DrinkIQ.com apart is its ability to provide visitors with a forum in which they can engage in a conversation with people who share their interest in responsible drinking,” says Carolyn Panzer, global director of alcohol and responsibility for Diageo.
