Super Bowl XLIX Cocktail Recipes

As the New England Patriots and Seattle Seahawks get set to face off in Phoenix on Sunday, it’s time to plan your Super Bowl libations. The big game is typically a beer holiday, but here are a few cocktails that would pair nicely with most Super Bowl party fare.

 

Running Back-Rita

1 part Sauza Blue Silver tequila
1 ½ parts Light beer
1 part Frozen limeade
1 part Water

In a glass filled with ice, tequila, limeade, beer and water. Stir gently and garnish with a lime wedge.

2 oz. Elit by Stolichnaya vodka
½ oz. Maple syrup
4 oz. Grapefruit juice
2 dashes Angostura bitters

Build in a highball over ice and stir.

2 oz. Elit by Stolichnaya vodka
1 oz. Coffee liqueur
2 oz. Club soda

Build over ice in a highball and serve with a straw.

BittersweetBittersweet Victory

1 ½ oz. parts Bacardi Gold rum
½ parts Cynar
¾ parts Grenadine
¾ parts Fresh lime juice
2 parts Ginger beer

Add all ingredients except ginger beer to a mixing tin. Shake and strain into a coupe glass. Add ginger beer to fill. Garnish with a cinnamon stick.

The Phoenix Fumble

1 ½ oz. Ole Smoky Apple Pie Moonshine
Half pint of beer

Drop moonshine shot into beer and enjoy.

Bulleit Rye Smash

1 ¼ oz. Bulleit rye whiskey
1 oz. Simple syrup
3 Lemon wedge
3 Mint sprigs
3 dashes Bitters

In an ice-filled shaker combine all the ingredients and shake vigorously. Strain into an ice-filled rocks glass and garnish with a mint sprig.
